Indonesian audio content platform NOICE gets $22M Series A –

NAYAIndonesia for startup, raised $ 22 million in Series A funding led by Northstart, with the participation of returning investors Alpha JWC Go-Ventures and Kinesys.

NOICE is different from others that start broadcasting because the focus is not on the music. Instead, NOICE, with 2 million users, focuses on podcasts, radio, audio books, and live audio. For example, it hosts a series of dramas from Indonesian writers and works with influencers to create podcasts and live audio.

The company claims that daily audiences spend about 80 minutes per day on site. It now has over 40,000 pieces of content to choose from.

NOICE has recently launched an audio production platform, called Noicemaker Studio, to encourage more creators to publish live content on NOICE.

The funding will be used to find content, build NOICE technology for users and creators and adapt the stories of local authors into an audio format.

In a written statement, the founder and CEO of Northstar Group, Patrick Walujo, said, “We have seen NOICE’s plans to aggressively measure, and we are pleased to share this journey with you.”
