Alibaba-backed Deeproute further slashes L4 driving costs to $3,000 –

Deeproot is working with two partners to achieve affordable power. Robosense, a Shenzhen-based lidar manufacturer, supplies its main lids and Z Vision, a Beijing-based company, supplies its lids.

The company’s low-cost L4 package, part of its 2.0 driver autonomous driving system, will first be on board a robot of 30 SAIC Motor SUVs in Shenzhen in the coming months. The solution also uses 5G remote control and network security for security measures.

To further promote Driver 2.0, Deeproute said it plans to bring the solution to more manufactured cars, customer-level cars by 2024. It will work with both Chinese and international companies, which means cars can be sold. all over the world, with the goal of making 100,00 such cars.
