Did you know hair is compostable? With the caveat that it should not be chemically handled (coloured) or incorporate a glut of mousse, gel, or hair spray, hair is amazing natural and organic material to include to your compost bin.

For the truly inexperienced of thumb, individuals follicles can be applied specifically in the back garden as root help or—get this—as a weed and animal deterrent. When buried within the back garden mattress itself, it can increase weak good quality soil by bit by bit releasing nutrition and nitrogen into the dust. (P.S. Pet dog hair is also compostable, furnished Sparky hasn’t gotten highlights just lately.)
